Musa Confident In Super Eagles To Improve Against Pharaohs Of Egypt

Ahmed Musa is confident that Nigeria will improve on their game when they will face Egypt in a friendly on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria struggled to beat Seychelles 3-1in Friday’s 2019 AFCON qualifiers game, in an unimpressive show at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba Delta State.

Ahmed Musa has reassured Nigerians that the Super Eagles will improve on their game when they will playing against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Tuesday, March 26, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.

Musa has blamed the poor state of the pitch for their unimpressive performance in the 3-1 victory over Seychelles’ Pirates on Friday, but he was quick to add that after more training sessions at the match venue, the Eagles will be on top of their game against Pharaohs in Asaba.

“We are going to play an improved game against Egypt. It was a tough game for us against Seychelles because the pitch is not too good compared with the type of pitch we use at our various clubs,” Musa told journalists during a media chat.

“We will lift our game because we know that this is the final friendly game window before the preparations for the AFCON will start proper. “We spoke to ourselves after the disappointment of the World Cup in Russia and we have not lost any game since then.”
