This marked his third participation in the competition. His first encounter was at the 5th National Youth Games in Kwara, where the team placed fourth due to their youth and inexperience.

In the 6th National Youth Games, he and his brother were on the team, but they had to return home after losing their father, missing out on the full experience.

This year, although he made the team, he was one of the players who did not meet the screening requirements, preventing him from playing. However, he still had an incredible experience.

“This year, the event was better organized than the one in Kwara State. The improvements were evident, and all the attending athletes had every reason to be proud.

From the opening ceremony and welcome party to the games and athlete welfare, it was an enjoyable program. My time in Delta State has been truly captivating,” he shared with Sports247.

As he prepares to graduate to the senior level, Muniru is enthusiastic about self-improvement and furthering his volleyball career. He aspires to play professionally while successfully balancing his academic pursuits with rigorous training.
