Team Manager Adegbesan ”The Sheikh” Koyejo disclosed to MGI Media that his desire to upset the apple cart in the coming season encouraged him to go across West Africa to acquire the services of a Ghana-based player Stanley Ubeidi who came third at the 2016 Nigeria Scrabble Players Competition.

Meanwhile, in a related development, organisers of League has called on interested sponsors of scrabble teams to indicate their interest ahead of the September 30 deadline.

The deadline was informed by the desire of Mindgames Incorporated to build on the success of last season.

To this end, sponsors according to a statement made available to MGI Media, are expected to indicate their expression of interest (EOI) in writing to info@mgiscrabbleleague.com before the deadline date as registration will be open from October 1 to December 1 this year.

However, 12 teams have so far signified their participation at the 2020 edition of the league in Division A.

They are; AIRPOPPER, BLAZERS, BRAINIACS, BULLDOZERS, GRACIOUS PICKERS, HURRICANES, and INDOMITABLES.
