Moses: It’s Time To Make 2019 Better

Chelsea winger, Victor Moses has opted to put all woes befalling him at The Blues far behind him, as he reckoned in his New Year message that all was well in 2018, but admits he wants 2019 to be better.

Sports247.ng can report that Moses would rather not dwell on the fact that he has not found even minimal game time coming his way since the arrival of Mautrizio Sarri as The Blues’ manager for the ongoing season.

The word out of Stamford Bridge already is that Moses is on his way out in the January transfer window, but the former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic ace believes better days lie ahead of him this year.

However, Moses surely would point to the 2018 World Cup in Russia as the high-point of the past year for him, only that he soured the story by sensationally retiring from the Nigerian national team few weeks after.

In Russia, Moses scored one of Nigeria’s three goals at the competition, as he slotted home a penalty in a 2-1 loss to the Super Eagles’ boogie team, Argentina, such that all his fans were taken aback when he quit.

The up and down of 2018 could be what Moses referred to in his New Year message on social media, but his fans would rather emphasize his wish for 2019 to turn out better than the best 12 months were for him.

Moses tweeted: “2018 was a year to remember and now it’s time to make 2019 even better. Happy New Year everyone.”
