Fast-rising Nigerian-born heavyweight boxer, Moses Itauma has received another reel of accolades, with rage reviews trailing him ahead of his January 24th date against USA’s Jermaine Franklin.
Sports247 reports that the upcoming bout in Manchester will be Itauma’s 14th as a professional and the 20-year-old pugilist, who is still unbeaten in the roped square, is again expected to win.

Itauma won six of his last nine fights inside three minutes and he has never gone beyond six rounds, which has left many boxing buffs awed by what has been tagged the youngster’s ‘ruthless fashion.’
The left-handed lad’s potential has once again been touted as a sight to behold ahead of his fight with Franklin, who has suffered two defeats in his career, but has gone the distance in 26 of those bouts.
A report by Sky Sports adds: “If Itauma adds him to his list of victims, it appears only a matter of time before promoter Frank Warren lets his aspiring world champion off the leash.
“Itauma’s devastating first‑round knockout of compatriot Dillian Whyte in August put the heavyweight division on notice, and his options beyond Franklin are stacking up.
“The WBA have ordered Itauma to face ‘regular’ champion Murat Gassiev, while the 20‑year‑old has also been mandated to fight Lawrence Okolie in an all-British WBC final eliminator.
“Whichever route Itauma chooses, he has the boxing world at his feet – and the talent to back it up. His unrelenting pursuit of world titles will take some stopping in 2026.”
