Monarch, Lagos Lawmakers, Others To Grace Omiyale Cup Final

A Lagos-based monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Owolabi Adeyemi Adeniyi of Onisabe of Igbobi-Sabe, and some top politicians in the state would grace the grand finale of U-14 Kayode Omiyale football tournament scheduled for 12th, Sunday at Evansquare sports complex, Ebute- Metta, Lagos.

The competition which started a month ago would come to a close on Sunday as Omiyale FC battles Bamise God FC in the final promises to be glamorous. To reach the final stage, Bamise God FC defeated Dragon FC 3-2, while Omiyale also defeated Talented FC 5-3 in a penalty shootout after one goal apiece at the regulation time.

The tourney which is being sponsored by Yaba council boss, Omiyale Kayode Adejare would witness important dignitaries from all works of life.

Among the invited personalities expected in the final are Jide Jimoh, a member Federal House of Representatives, Moshood Oshun, a member of Lagos House of Assembly, Monsuru Alao Owolabi, Bayo Adefuye, and a host of others.

Chairman Organizing Committee, Taofeek Ganiu thanked for the success of the competition from the beginning and urged the finalists to shun any violence that can disrupt the competition.

He also thanked the cup donor for his support given to the competition saying that the committee is committed to organizing a hitch-free closing ceremony.
