Minister, NFF resolve to take Nigerian Football to new heights

The Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr Sunday Akin Dare on Friday met with the Members of Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation and the General Secretary.

COMMUNIQUE OF MEETING OF THE HON. MINISTER MR. SUNDAY DARE WITH THE BOARD OF THE NIGERIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION HELD AT OBASANJO HALL, OFFICE OF THE HEAD OF THE CIVIL SERVICE OF THE FEDERATION, FEDERAL SECRETARIAT, ABUJA ON FRIDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER, 2019

The Hon. Minister of Youth & Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dareheld a meeting with the Nigeria Football Federation on Friday, September 20, 20192.

2. The meeting, which was at the instance of the Honourable Minister, interfaced with the Board of the Nigeria Football Federation towards achieving smooth football administration in the country as well as chart a more dynamic focus.

3. Following extensive deliberation, the meeting which was attended by all the 15 Board Members of the Nigeria Football Federation resolved that there should be a commitment:

a) To chart a new direction in NFF
b) To reposition the Domestic League
c) To reposition Youth development in sport;
d) To work with the Ministry towards early preparations for participation in tournaments and championship;
e) To reach out to all factions with a view to having an amicable resolution of all problems
f) To make sure that we develop our sporting facilities particularly, football pitches and other stadia infrastructure;
g) To improve the positive perception of football administration in Nigeria;
i) To ensure the NFF Bill now with the NASS is transmitted for assent by Mr President speedily; and
j) To ensure efficient management of resources and deepening private investment in sports development
