Sports247 reports that Mikel’s declaration came in response to fresh criticism hurled at him by another Madrid icon, Dani Ceballos, over comments allegedly made by Mikel against Los Blancos’ players.
The former Super Eagles’ captain took to his ‘The Obi One’ podcast to clarify the controversy that first erupted in 2024, when he was accused of making critical remarks about several Real Madrid players.
Mikel’s aspersions allegedly came before Real’s UEFA Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund of Germany, but the Nigerian legend has again denied he ever made such comments on his podcast.
“That’s an absolute lie. To say that Modric, Carvajal, Kroos, or Nacho aren’t good is unbelievable. I would never say something like that. They’ve won the Champions League six times. To say they aren’t good is madness,” Mikel reiterated.
