Mighty Jets Int’l FC and Wikki Tourists FC Play to Goalless Draw in NNL Match Day 2 Thriller

In an eagerly anticipated clash at the Jos New Stadium, Mighty Jets Int’l FC and Wikki Tourists FC delivered a riveting goalless draw on NNL Match Day 2.

The much-hyped encounter lived up to expectations, with both teams showcasing defensive prowess and goalkeeping heroics.

Visiting Wikki Tourists, led by their danger man Suleiman Sani, tested Mighty Jets’ goalkeeper Gobum Roduwe with several shots on target.

However, Roduwe’s superb saves denied Wikki Tourists an early lead.

Determined to break the deadlock, Mighty Jets pressed forward, creating opportunities before the halftime whistle.

Despite their efforts, Wikki Tourists’ goalkeeper Faisal Mohammad thwarted their attempts, keeping the score level at 0-0.

As the second half commenced, Mighty Jets intensified their attacking play, with Joseph Jatau and Isaac Jonathan posing a constant threat to Wikki’s defence.

Roduwe continued his standout performance, making crucial saves, including a sensational stop to deny Suleiman Sani in the 79th minute.

Mighty Jets’ Abiya Abdullahi came close to scoring with a long-range drive, but it went just wide of the mark.

The defensive efforts of Jonathan Davou, Joseph Bindip, and captain Sale Mohammed earned applause from the home fans.

In the post-match reaction, acting coach Najib Mabo praised his team’s overall performance but acknowledged the need to improve finishing.

“The team played well, but one of our greatest undoings was finishing. I am sure that with the caliber of players we have, the goals will come,” he remarked.
