Man’City’s Adarabioyo eager to play national team football

Nigerian born Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo has said that he is targeting to represent either Nigeria or England in the next world cup which will be staged in Qatar, in 2022.

Adarabioyo who is eligible to play for England or Nigeria was born in England to an English mother and Nigerian father.

The 22 year old has played for England from the Under 16 to the Under 19 level and reports claimed that he is waiting for his clearance from FIFA to complete his switch of allegiance to Nigeria. In an interview, the lad did not hide his intention of playing for a national team and doing it for Nigeria is not a bad idea. While speaking to the UK media, The Sun, on his plans for the future, Adarabioyo said he’s only thinking of playing at the next world cup with either Nigeria or England.

“The Euro is next summer and the World Cup is a year after, I’m eligible to play for England or Nigeria.”

“I believe I should be going to the next World Cup either with England or Nigeria, that’s my target,”  he said.

Adarabioyo who is currently on loan at English Championship side Blackburn Rovers also targets winning the premier league and the UEFA Champions League with Manchester City.
