Flying Eagles defender Benjamin Frederick has caught the attention of top European clubs, including Manchester City and Bayern Munich. The 19-year-old centre-back is a key player in Nigeria’s U-20 team.

Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester City, Bayern Munich,
and Villarreal from LaLiga have dispatched scouts to monitor Frederick’s performance at the ongoing 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina.

The young defender has already appeared in three matches for the Flying Eagles during the tournament.

Frederick’s talent also shone during the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations earlier this year in Egypt, where he played a pivotal role for the team. His impressive performances earned him a spot in the tournament’s Team of the Tournament.

In addition to Manchester City and Bayern Munich, Anderlecht, FC Midtylland, and RB
Leipzig have also expressed interest in the talented player following his displays in the
competition. Frederick’s promising potential has clearly attracted the attention of several top clubs, and his future looks bright in the world of football.
