In a passionate message to the team following their hard-earned World Cup qualification and semi-final victory, Hon. Adeyinka reminded the players that the mission is not yet complete.
“We have picked the World Cup ticket, which is the ultimate, but now we believe in them to make it double,” Adeyinka said. “Mr. President is proud of these boys. They have made Nigeria proud already, but they must stay focused. All celebrations can wait until after Sunday’s final.”
He praised the team’s commitment so far and urged them not to lose sight of the final objective — lifting the continental trophy.
“They must not get distracted in any way. The whole nation is behind them, and we believe they can bring the trophy home. We’re living every celebration for after Sunday.”
The Flying Eagles will face a determined South African side in what promises to be a thrilling final, but with the nation watching and the backing of the presidency, expectations are high that Nigeria will crown their U-20 AFCON campaign with a historic triumph.
