Speaking while currently with the Super Eagles in Morocco, Majekodunmi described the New Year as a fresh opportunity to strengthen national cohesion and work towards a better life for all Nigerians.

“The beginning of 2026 gives us renewed hope,” Majekodunmi said. “As Nigerians, we must come together with a shared sense of purpose. Unity, discipline and belief in ourselves are the foundations for a better life and a stronger nation.”

Reflecting on his leadership roles within football administration, Majekodunmi stressed that public offices and positions of responsibility must translate into positive impact on the lives of citizens, particularly the youth.

“The offices we occupy must serve the people,” he noted. “Through football administration and youth development, we can create opportunities, inspire ambition and offer our young people pathways to a better future.”

He highlighted football’s enduring role as a unifying force in Nigeria, capable of breaking barriers and fostering national pride, especially at a time when the country needs togetherness.

“What we see with the Super Eagles is unity in action,” he said. “Players and officials from different backgrounds working towards one goal. This is a lesson for the nation as we move into 2026.”

Majekodunmi also called on Nigerians to embrace compassion and social responsibility in the New Year, urging individuals to support one another and care for the less privileged.

“A better Nigeria begins with kindness, understanding and cooperation,” he added.

“If we support each other and remain hopeful, progress will surely follow.”

He concluded by wishing Nigerians a peaceful, prosperous and fulfilling New Year, while offering prayers for stability, growth and national advancement in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Happy New Year to all Nigerians. May 2026 bring unity, peace and a better life for our people,” Majekodunmi said.
