Madiba FC At Home Was My Toughest Game, Says Ekiti United Skipper Makanjuola

Ekiti United captain, Adewale Makanjuola says his toughest game in the 2022-23 Nigeria National League, NNL season was the last game against Madiba FC at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti.

Makanjuola speaking in an interview with EUFC media ahead of the new season couldn’t hide his feelings about his toughest game of the 2022-23 NNL season.

Ekiti United finished second in the Southern Conference B3 log with 16 points from 8 games played.

“Almost all the matches I kept were tough but Madiba FC was the toughest game for me because it was the last home game that will determine the top team in our group,” said Makanjuola.

“It was a game everyone was waiting for the outcome. Glory to God I was named man of the match as the game ended 2-1 in our (Ekiti United) favour.”

Makanjuola who kept four games and a clean sheet further revealed that his ambition toward next season is to attain higher height in his football career.

“I am determined to work extra hard to ensure improvement of my team and to surpass my performance last season.

“I am already getting myself prepared. My watch word ahead of the 2023-24 is to be more disciplined, determined and dedicated, He concluded.
