Former Super Eagles winger Tijjani Babangida has firmly ruled out any intention of contesting for the presidency of the Nigeria Football Federation, insisting his priority remains the welfare and unity of Nigerian footballers.

Amid ongoing reforms within the NFF and growing speculation about potential candidates for future leadership positions,
Babangida made it clear that he has no political ambitions within the federation. Instead, his focus is squarely on his role as president of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN).
“I am committed to finishing what I started,” he implied, stressing that his mission is to improve the conditions and well-being of players across the country.
Babangida’s stance comes at a time when Nigerian football is undergoing significant structural changes, including amendments to statutes and electoral processes.
