In an interview with Sports 247, Boluwatife conveyed his excitement about the team’s victory, stating, “I feel very excited. When we started the first game at the beginning of the tournament, we aimed for the final victory. However, we lost yesterday to Ikorodu FC. Winning this game and finishing in third place is a source of great excitement for us.”

When asked about the adjustments made after the previous match that motivated them to succeed in this one, Boluwatife emphasized the team’s winning mentality, saying, “We are champions, we are winners, so we did not let yesterday’s result affect our performance today. In every game, our objective is to dominate and win. Today was a new day, a new game, and we played with the determination to secure a victory, which we did.”

Regarding their opponents, Adams acknowledged the tactical prowess of Spartan FC, noting, “They played a very tactical and matured game, and we did our part. The game was cautious, resulting in a goalless draw in normal time. They did their homework well, effectively preventing us from scoring during regular play. However, we had practised penalty kicks during the week, and that preparation played a significant role in our dominance.”

When asked if this readiness to adapt and prepare for all circumstances was a key factor in their success, he responded, “Indeed, we were prepared for all scenarios. It’s thanks to our forward-thinking management team that we have this level of preparation. We cover various aspects of the game, including set pieces, tactics, and different formations. We are even willing to change our formation during matches. This sets us apart from many other teams in Lagos and is a testament to the futuristic mindset of our management team, which greatly benefits us at Broad City.”
