LSFA Begins Move to Fill Vacant Board Position

The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has officially announced plans to conduct a bye-election to fill a vacant position on its board.

According to a statement signed by the LSFA Secretary, Mrs. Vera Jato Okechukwu, the Electoral Committee, chaired by Alhaji Azeez Tijani, has released a detailed schedule for the process. The bye-election is slated to hold on November 1, 2025.

Nomination forms will be available for purchase at the LSFA Secretariat, 146/148 Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos, from October 13 to 17, 2025, at a fee of ₦250,000.

The statement further noted that screening of candidates will take place on October 23, 2025, ahead of the final election.

The LSFA reiterated its commitment to transparency and fairness, assuring stakeholders that the process will be conducted in line with the association’s statutes and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) electoral guidelines.
