.New signing at Atletico Madrid of Spain, Ademola Lookman is on his way towards setting a new record as the first player born in England to feature in Europe’s four top football leagues, Sports247 reports.

With confirmation of Lookman’s switch from Atalanta of Italy to Atletico, in a deal worth £30.3m, he will become the first England-born lad to play in the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and Spanish La Liga.
He started out with Charlton Athletic of England, before moving to Everton, who loaned him to RB Leipzig of Germany, from where he returned to star in the EPL with Fulham and Leicester City, before moving to Atalanta.
Lookman will also become one of only 21 players to feature in all four major leagues, while only three – Christian Poulsen, Justin Kluivert and Stevan Jovetic – played in all big five, including the French Ligue 1.
The 28-year-old Lookman scored 55 goals and got 27 assists with Atalanta after moving there in 2022, with a historic hat-trick in the 2024 UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen of Germany also part of his achievements.
