Lokosa Seeks Lukman Zakari Inspiration At Esperance

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) top scorer in the immediate past yet truncated season, Junior Lokosa will seek useful inspiration from the presence of former Golden Eaglets defender, Lukman Zakari at Esperance of Tunisia for him to tie down a deal.

Sports247.ng can report that, with Lokosa having previously failed to impress during trials in Belgium, Norway and China last year, he will need words of encouragement from Zakari to help himseal a four year deal with the African champions at the start of this week.

After several botched attempts at taking his trade abroad, Lokosa has now set his mind on a deal with Esperance and has agreed to their terms in a deal tabled by the club that once had Michael Eneramo on their cards.

The 24-year-old hitman, who played for First Bank FC of Lagos before joining Kano Pillars last season, received an official invitation to report in Tunis at the weekend and get a medical before signing on Monday.

Incidnetally, Lokosa is bound to link forces with UAE 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning defender, Zakari, who had intially inked a deal at SC Sfaxien before switching to their Tunisian Ligue 1 rivals, Esperance.
