Lobi Stars Will Recruit More Players – Idoko

Chief executive and vice-chairman of Lobi Stars of Makurdi, Mike Idoko has disclosed that the club will return to the transfer market to recruit more players, now that they have reached the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

Idoko stated in an interview with sports247.ng that the club’s board is happy with how their current players did well in reaching the money-spinning continental competition’s group stage.

He, however, interjected that still want to fortify the squad, in order to face the challenges ahead.
Idoko revealed that the club registered 26 players for the competition, which means they still have space remaining four four more in the list.

Idoko told sports247.ng: “The group stage will be tough, that’s why we need a strong squad.
‘We have registered 26 players already, but the rules state that we can register four more, to make it 30, and that’s what we will do.

“At the same time, we will do the politicking aspect of it as well, because it takes a lot of planning to win the Champions League.

“All departments of the club will be on deck to take the team far, and I believe we have what it takes to do what Enyimba did twice.”
