Lobi Stars Dedicate Victory Over Abia Warriors In Memory of Victims of Oturkpo Bank Robbery

The Management of Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi said it has dedicated its Victory over Abia Warriors FC in the NPFL Match Day four to victims of the recent Bank robbery attack at Oturkpo town in Benue state which claimed many lives.

The encounter which was earlier postponed as a result of the mourning mood in Benue state saw the Makurdi-based side defeat Abia Warriors by 2-0.

Chief Executive Officer of Lobi stars Dominic Iorfa said the Victory would act as a relief for the entire people of Benue state who were thrown into mourning by the dastardly act of the armed robbers.

He specifically stated that the Victory is dedicated to the memories of the deceased and the families of those who were affected by the sad incident.

He prayed to God to grant the souls of all the departed eternal rest and for the quick recovery of the injured.

The Match Day four encounter was witnessed by the Deputy Governor of Benue State Barr. Dr. Sam Ode, Speaker of the Benue state House of Assembly Rt Hon. Isaac Danladi, Special Assistant on Media to the Honourable Minister of Sports Development Mr Kola Daniel, Former Executive Secretary of the Club Owners Association of Nigeria and Director of Football ABS FC Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, Chairman of Abia Warriors FC Chief John Obuh and host of other sports personalities.
