Non-Leaguers, Ottasolo FC, were sent home from the Governor Wike Pre-Season Tournament as a first-half goal from Lobi Stars earned them a semi-final spot in the tourney.
As the first half got to its 15th minute, Abdulwasiu Mahmud struck the only goal for the Kabiru Dogo managed side.
A delighted Dogo, Head Coach, Lobi Stars, while speaking with Governor Wike Pre-Season Media noted: “We took part in the competition with a view of giving some players some games.
“And this has paid off as we now know the quality of each and every player.
“We have used four different squads for the games we played.
“At the end, the team got 10 points from a possible 12. This is a good omen for us.”
“Our target is to win it as it would, in the long run, boost the morale of the players as they prepare themselves for the new Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.”
