LDFA League Final: It Is Our Trophy, Melody Team Manager Tells Wazbak

Team Manager of Melody Football Club of Iwaya, Ibrahim Owolabi has issued a strong warning to Wazbak International Sports Academy to forget the trophy when the both teams clash tomorrow in the Lagos Divisional Football League final scheduled for Tuesday at the Railway Institute football playground, Alagomeji, Yaba, Lagos.

The pulsating encounter would kick off by 1pm tomorrow to determine who represent division in the 2023 Eko Football League scheduled to commence later in the year.

To qualify for the final, Melody defeated Grace Sports Channel 6-5 on penalties after one goal apiece at the regulation time, while Wazbak humbled Tinubu FC 4-0 to reach the final stage.

Owolabi after their semi final stage boasted that his team are favorite to win the league and warned his opponents to forget the trophy.

“We have come a long way and it is high time to win the trophy. It is our trophy and is coming home. Although we started our campaign on a defeat but my boys and coaching crew were able to wake up from their slumbers by winning difficult matches along the line
Once again I wish them best of luck against their opponents in tomorrow’s final,” he said.

Meanwhile the chairman Lagos Divisional Football Association, Akintunde Tinubu expressed gratitude to God for the success of the league and urged the finalists to shun violence during and after the game.

He however assured the finalists good officiating and level playground and warned team’s fans conduct themselves in orderly manner throughout the encounter.
