Late Strike Condemns Pisa to Defeat as Durosinmi Endures Frustrating Night

It was a difficult evening for Rafiu Durosinmi as Pisa SC suffered another setback in the Serie A, falling to a 1–0 defeat against Bologna FC 1909.

The decisive moment came deep into stoppage time when Jens Odgaard unleashed a powerful left-footed strike from outside the box in the 90th minute, beating the goalkeeper to snatch victory for the visitors. The goal was set up by Remo Freuler, whose assist paved the way for the dramatic late winner.

Durosinmi featured in the contest but was unable to influence the outcome in what proved to be a tightly contested affair. Fellow Nigerian Ebenezer Akinsanmiro remained an unused substitute.

The defeat compounds Pisa’s struggles this season. After 27 matches, the club sits 19th on the table with 15 points, level with Hellas Verona FC, who occupy the bottom position in the standings.

With the relegation battle intensifying, Pisa face mounting pressure to convert performances into results.

The late concession against Bologna highlights the fine margins at this level, as the Tuscan side continues its fight for survival in Italy’s top flight.
