Late Stephen Keshi National Under-17 Football Tournament: Its Insurance and Flight In The Final

Sweet goals by the duo of Endurance Ederaro and Godstime Alakwe were too good not to send last year’s finalists, Jazzy Stars Football Academy of Jos packing as Bendel Insurance FC Feeders of Benin City strolled to the semi-finals, beating the Galaxies 2-0 in the quarter-finals.

After the very interesting and physical encounter filled with some skills and dramatic goals, the Chief Coach of Jazzy Stars FA, Caleb Theophilus Yepieng, gave kudos to the Bendel Insurance team for putting up a good fight and to the officiating officials for been so fair and firm.

According to Coach Caleb: “The referees that handled this match surprised me, despite playing against the darling team of Edo State, the referees were so fair and professional. With officiating of this nature, our football will surely grow to that expected level we all dream of. Referees are one of the most important factors for our football growth.”

On his own part, the winning Chief Coach of Bendel Insurance FC Feeders, Stanley Osaze Francis, heaped praises on the Jazzy Stars FA team from Jos. According to him:
“This Jazzy Stars team made up of some young good players are very technical. It’s a team for the future and I can tell you that not because we were better than them but we were just able to convert the chances that came our way. It was a very good match enjoyed by all that were on the ground to watch.”
