Renowned sports journalist, Maxwell Kolawole Kumoye’s late wife, Mrs Funmilayo Stella Kumoye has been described as a lady of lofty values, who exuded kindness, generosity, strength and compassion.

She is also celebrated as a lady of high esteem, who was outstanding in her spiritual service, family life and business acumen, through which she touched many lives positively, guided by an uunwavering desire to help people in need.
Sports247 reports that the post-humus accolades for the late Mrs Kumoye come ahead of a memorial service in her honour scheduled for Friday, March 7, which will be followed by a private interment.
The service will hold at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Poluyi Crescent, Ilapo Estate off AIT Station by 11am and is open to the public, but admission to the private interment is by invitation only.
While stating details of the burial plans, her husband’s company, First Zealmediacast Limited’s chief operating officer, Oluwatobiloba Zeal-Adepetu Kumoye put together a long citation in celebration of her life.
He wrote at length, “Late Funmilayo Stella Kumoye was born on 22 March, 1977 to Mr. and Mrs. Ayodele Olupo. She is the second of seven children in a spiritually-driven family, where, faith, and hard work were deeply rooted.
“From an early age, Funmilayo Stella demonstrated a strong spiritual inclination. Her love for Jehovah and commitment to Bible principles led her to dedicate her life to Jehovah, symbolizing this decision through baptism in May 1994.
“This marked the beginning of a life centered on faith, service, and devotion. In the year 2000, she married Maxwell Kolawole Kumoye, a renowned journalist. Their union has been blessed with four children.
“Together they built a family anchored on spiritual values, mutual respect, and service to others. Late Funmilayo Stella was actively involved in the activities of the Jehovah’s Witnesses organization.
“Serving as a Regular Pioneer, a special form of full-time ministry, she was deeply convinced that God’s Kingdom is the only lasting solution to mankind’s problems, a belief she passionately shares through her preaching work.
“Her dedication was further strengthened by her recent attendance at a special meeting for pioneers with the Circuit Overseer, an experience that reaffirmed her commitment to sacred service.
“Academically, she studied Business Administration, equipping her with skills that later translated into entrepreneurship. In 2016, she founded Stella Foods, a food business with a special focus on small chops and plantain chips.
“Through diligence and consistency, the venture has become a testament to her industrious spirit and business acumen. Widely known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to assist others, she was a woman of strength and compassion.
“Whether in spiritual service, family life, or business, she continues to touch lives positively, guided by faith, hard work, and an unwavering desire to help those she encounters.”
