The Lagos State University (LASU) under Vice Chancellor, Prof Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello, mni, npom are on the brink of missing out in the 2025 Nigeria University Games (NUGA) set to take place in Jos, Plateau State from November 5th to 16th.
LASU is known to have the highest representation in the multi sport NUGA and failure not to participate will hinder the sporting glory of the university who have gained international prominence and attention for participating in the 2025 World University Games (FASU) in China.

The school athletes have trained very hard for this athletic games and it will be a grave injustice for LASU authorities not to provide the necessary clearance, funding and welfare for the school athletes to grace and multi sport event.
Adequate funding and welfare of LASU on sport saw their women’s football team crowned the champions of Africa University (FASU) women’s football team which saw them representing Africa at the World University Games in China.
Speaking to former student of the school who craved anonymous said LASU have always been at the top of NUGA over the years and it’s paramount for the school authorities to leverage on the progress made in sports and not discard.
He added that LASU is known for their popular slogan “We Are LASU, We Are Great,” must live up to the slogan and make sports great in the university.
