Lasisi Vows To Knockout Jimenez To Retain WBC International Super-Flyweight Championship

Nigerian boxer and WBC International Super-Flyweight Title holder, Aliu Bamidele Lasisi has vowed to Knockout Norbelto Jimenez, when both amazing boxers clash at the Caesars Palace Bluewaters in Dubai on Match 6th (Friday) for the WBC International Super-Flyweight Championship.

The boxing bout is set to be a very close and ventilating clash, after both boxers had previously fought for the title last year, but could not be separated as the bout ended in a draw, which ensured that Lasisi retained his WBC International Super-Flyweight Title.

Speaking with Sports 247 ahead of his crucial title defence against Norbelto Jimenez in Dubai, the WBC International Super flyweight champion commended the strengths and boxing abilities of his opponents, but also assured his fans and well-wishers of coming out victorious, come March 6th, stating that he aims to knockout Jimenez to retain his title and dedicate the victory to them (his fans) as well.

“Jimenez is a very talented boxer, who has the skills and techniques of a great professional boxer”.

“That being said, I want to thank all my fans and supporters for standing by me all through this years and I want to assure them of coming out victorious in the bout, come March 6th in Dubai”.

“I know that it won’t be an easy fight, most especially looking at my previous bout with him last year, which ended in a draw, but this time around, I am going to knock him (Jimenez) out and return my championship and will dedicate the victory to my fans and supporters”, he stated.

Jimenez (29-9-4, 16 KOs) began his career 2-8-1, but he rebounded to become a world-class super flyweight. He challenged for the WBA super-flyweight world title twice, dropping a unanimous decision to Kal Yafai in 2019 and fighting to a draw against Kohei Kono in 2014.
