Speaking ahead of Coventry’s next fixture, Lampard explained that Onyeka was granted a couple of days off following the birth, which occurred between Sunday and Monday, but has since returned to training in good condition.

“Frank had a couple of days off to welcome his new baby. That was important, but he’s back now, fit and ready to go, which is a really good sign,” Lampard said.

The former Chelsea boss praised Onyeka’s professionalism, noting that the midfielder has settled well into the squad and remains fully focused despite the personal milestone.

“He’s trained well since coming back, and he’s in a good place,” Lampard added.

Onyeka’s availability comes as a boost for Coventry as they continue their push in the Championship, with the Nigerian expected to play a key role in the middle of the park.
