Although he had earlier won one gold and a bronze medal in two of his outings, Babatunde told Sports247 that he was already planning how to clinch more laurels in the doubles and team events as well.

Babatunde then rated the entire competition at Para-Games 2026 as an exciting and wonderful experience, while also confessing that he is looking forward to an even better edition of the sports festival for physically challenged athletes next year.

The assertive player also put President Bola Ahmed Tinubu into prayers, as well as the leadership of Para-Sports Commission of Nigeria (PCN), whom he thanked for always keeping the country’s physically challenged athletes in mind.

He retorted, “This Para-Games is very fantastic, and we all love it. I am glad about it, and I’m praying for our president in Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for more blessings.

“I also pray for our PCN president, as well as the coaches and officials. We thank them for all they are doing for us. I pray that God will continue to bless them; so that we can have another edition next year.”

Babatunde concluded by expressing hope of better days ahead for Para-Games in general, as well as for the contingent from Lagos State and for himself personally, as events unfold at Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

“I pray that, next year, we will have a competition that is very exciting and fantastic more than this. I also thank God for helping our team from Lagos State.

“We are doing well, and we’ve already won one gold. We still have more events to participate in, and I’m sure that we’ll win something from all of them.

“Personally, I have won one gold and one bronze, but I still have doubles and team events that I’m going to play. I also expect to win medals in them,” Babatunde enthused.
