Lagos DFA elections holds May 17, as candidates vie for Chairmanship, board members and woman seats

The Lagos Divisional Football Association’s elections holds Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the secretariat of the Lagos State Football Association in Surulere.

Various cleared candidates will contest for positions in the Lagos DFA, EPE, Ikorodu, Ikeja and Badagry.

For the Lagos DFA, two candidates; Ahmed Akintunde Tinubu will battle against Olabode Sodiq Mohammed Babington for the Chairmanship position, while Remmy Awosanya is the lone candidate for board member, and Ajide Monsurat Musa vies for the woman seat.

For the EPE DFA, the only candidate for the Chairmanship position is Mr. Olalekan Felix Adekoya, while Gbolahan Jamiu Bashiru, Ola Jimoh Bashiru and Adesesan Kabiru Muideen are vying for the post of board member and Adetoun Kafilat Adekoya is the only candidate for woman seat.

For the Ikorodu DFA elections, Abdul Sani Lukman Sonibare scaled through as the only candidate for the Chairmanship election, while fellow contestant, Ibiyemi Adeleke Alegunleye did not scale though clearance as he was disqualified from contesting.
Still for Ikorodu DFA elections, four candidates were cleared for the board member seat. They include; Olarenwaju Monsur Odenike, Afeez Adeoye Abiodun, Adedeji Wasiu Kareem and Abolore Wahab Ogunbunmi will be gunning for board member, while only one candidate; Modupe Ganiat Adegbemi contests for the post of Woman seat.

For the Badagry DFA elections, Martins Osondu Ibegbu and Kayode Nunayon Mobee will contest for the Chairmanship position. A total three candidates will contest for board member, they are; Adewale Michael Adebayo, Sunday Sunayon Toyon and Shedrack Samson. While Victoria Ibegbu Soetan guns for the lone position of the woman seat.

And for the Ikeja DFA elections: Alagbe Rafiu Taiwo is the only contestant for the post of chairman, and two candidates for the post of board member. They are; Adewale Laluko and Adenike Olajumoke Duroshola.

noted elections will start at 10am, as all candidates are to come with their agents to venue of elections

Okikioposu also disclosed that : “All the delegates for the Divisional Football Association’s elections must come along with their letter of authorization from their respective clubs or associations to be eligible to vote.”

The Secretary stressed that; “This is imperative in line with the Guidelines and Lagos State Football Association Statute.

“In addition, candidates should come along with their agents, election starts at 10am at the LSFA Secretariat Ogunlana Drive Surulere, Lagos.
