Kwara United head coach Ashifat Suleiman has expressed optimism despite his side’s 1–0 defeat away to Abia Warriors in their Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 27 encounter on Sunday in Aba.

The decisive moment of the contest came in the 29th minute when Casmir Azubuike found the back of the net to give Abia Warriors the lead. Despite Kwara United’s efforts to restore parity, the visitors were unable to find a breakthrough and were left to rue a narrow loss on the road.
Speaking after the match, Coach Suleiman admitted his side is under pressure but remains confident of navigating the relegation battle successfully.
“The struggle for survival continues. We still have 33 points to fight for. This is a difficult moment for us as a team, but we have the opportunity to survive the scare,” he said.
Kwara United will now turn their attention to their next fixture, where they are set to host Wikki Tourists, as they look to bounce back quickly and keep their survival hopes alive.
