Kwara United FC head coach, Ashifat Suleiman, has openly acknowledged the challenges confronting his side following a difficult run of results in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Speaking after another frustrating outing, Suleiman described the period as a “difficult moment” for the Ilorin-based club, revealing that the team is yet to score a single goal since the restart of the league in the second stanza.
The goal drought has compounded Kwara United’s struggles, leaving them searching for form and confidence as the campaign progresses.
According to the coach, the team’s inconsistency has been worsened by the loss of key players, many of whom have departed the club to attend foreign trials.
While he acknowledged that such opportunities are positive for the players’ careers, Suleiman admitted that their absence has disrupted the team’s balance and cohesion.

“We’ve lost form and players, but we will surely strengthen the squad,” Suleiman stated, expressing confidence that the club will emerge stronger in the coming weeks.
