Kwara SWAN Calls Off Boycott On Kwara United Home Matches, Congratulates Dogo On Appointment As Technical Adviser

The leadership of Kwara State Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has called off its proposed boycott of Kwara United FC home matches.

The decision was made when the leadership of Kwara State had a meeting with Chairman of Kwara United FC, Titiloye Kumbi in his office on Tuesday.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Assistant Secretary of Kwara SWAN, Ayodeji Ismail and Sodiq Adebara, members are enjoined to come all out and support Kwara United in promoting the activities of the club in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League.

According to the statement, The management of Kwara United FC and Kwara SWAN have agreed on terms and conditions that will put the club in good light.

However, Kwara SWAN congratulated Kabir Dogo on his appointment as the Technical Adviser of Kwara United FC, promising him total support to ensure he succeeds.

In his speech, the Chairman of Kwara United FC, Titloye Kumbi advised Kwara SWAN to reorganise the structure of the association in order to meet up with current trend of sports reportage

He noted that the SWAN members who serve as media team for the club always get their entitlement as at when due with provision of working tools.

He stressed that the communication gap between the club and association has been the major impediment that led to the misunderstanding.

Kwara United will face Remo Stars in their next home match at Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba on Wednesday.
