Kwara Football Academy Awards Scholarships to Five Outstanding Talents

The Kwara Football Academy (KFA) has awarded full scholarships to five exceptional young players who distinguished themselves during the Academy’s annual three-day trials held between September 3–5, 2025, in Ilorin.

The scholarship package includes free training, feeding, and intensive accommodation at the Academy. In addition, the beneficiaries will be registered for the prestigious Nigeria Youth League Cup, where they will have the unique opportunity of being scouted on the global Wyscout scouting platform, opening doors to both national and international opportunities.

After impressing among several hopefuls during the trials, the following players emerged as recipients:

Aliyu Bilyah – Midfielder, a native of Kaiama, joining from City Rollers FA of New Bussa, Niger State.

Ogbolu Goodluck – Striker from Synergy Ultimate Sports, Lagos State.

Abubakar Sodiq – Winger from Athletic Club Shonga, a native of Shonga in Edu Local Government, Kwara State.

Taibu Muhammad – Central Midfielder from Dukulade FA in Lade, Patigi Local Government, Kwara State.

Jabeer Usman – Winger from FC Intelligent, Tudunwada, Kano State.

Speaking at the announcement, the Administrator of the Academy, Mallam Ibrahim Bako, congratulated the players on their success and charged them to seize the opportunity to build a professional career from football. He further assured them that the Academy remains committed to providing the right platform and international exposure needed to excel.

“This scholarship is not just a reward for talent, but an investment in your future. We believe you can make Kwara, and Nigeria, proud,” Mallam Bako said.

The Kwara Football Academy continues to live up to its vision of nurturing raw talent and creating pathways for young players to shine on both local and global stages.
