Kwara Falcons Basketball Club To Take On Stade Malien Later Today

Nigeria representative at the BAL, the Kwara Falcons will attempt to recover from the matchday one setback against Renewable Energy Group of Rwanda Basketball Club when they file out against Stade Malien of Mali later this afternoon by 4:00pm.

The Falcons, having ralied to reduce REG lead to 28-31 at the end of the second quarter, faltered in the second period adding 19 pts in total which culminated in the 48 – 64 loss, will have to do everything right to stay in contention for a probable progression to Kigali.

Coach Kadri Jibril side struggled severely in size the last time out and should be able to fashion out a favourable game plan against the Malians whom they encountered during the Orange Ball Invitational championship in Abidjan.

The Nigeria side lost 69 – 84 to Stade Malien but both teams lacking in experience, will know what to expect from each other when they take to the court in this crucial contest.

Stade Malien, also lost 68 – 78 to US Monastir in the clubs opening game and despite the obvious struggles with the Falcon, Nigerians will once again be supporting the club with the hopes of a better outing.
