Kwara FA Felicitates with Muslims ahead of Ramadan

The Kwara state Football Association has felicitates with the entire Muslim community in Kwara as they join other faithfuls across the world to commence Ramadan – the holy month of fasting and prayer.

Chairman of the Board, Malam Idris Musa Abdullahi has implored Muslims to seek maximum benefits from the Ramadan period by replicating the teachings of the Holy Prophet in all their engagements; private and public.

A statement released by Bolaji Lawal (Head of Media & Publicity, Kwara FA) on Thursday evening in Ilorin, says the chairman appealed to all Kwarans especially Muslims to also use the period of Ramadan for reflection on our national challenges and join forces with the Federal Government to overcome peculiar problems.

” It is worthy of note that this particular Ramadan fast comes at a time Nigeria and the whole world is faced with the Corona Virus Pandemic crisis. I therefore urge all our brothers and sisters involved in the holy exercise of abstinence to pray for divine favour while not relenting in efforts aimed at tackling the issues that currently confront us as a nation”

“I also call on all religious leaders irrespective of faith and sect to exercise sufficient restraint in their dealings especially as it concerns the goal of national unity and peaceful co-existence, because we must be reminded that their numerous followers are guided and swayed by the submissions they make”.

While wishing all Muslim faithfuls in Nigeria and throughout the world a successful period of fast, he enjoin all religious stakeholders to adhere strictly with the sit at home order, avoid any form of gathering, refrain from utterances and conducts which are at variance with the virtue of religious tolerance.
