Kwara United was on Tuesday crowned champions of the 2023 Kwara State FA Cup after edging ABS FC on penalties in the final.
The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL side won 4-2 on penalties to win the Nigeria National League side Kwara at the Football Academy Pitch.
The two teams who were last year’s finalists played with nothing to choose from after 90 minutes and extra time until United won from the spot to retain the title.
The Harmony Boys who have secured the ticket as the representatives of the state in the National Federation Cup alongside ABS defeated SGFC Athletics Sports Club 3-2 in the semi-finals.
