Kumbi Titiloye appreciates Kwara Deputy Governor after 1-0 win against Gombe

Kwara United chairman Kumbi Titiloye has praised the state’s Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi for attending the match against Gombe United.

Mr Kayode Alabi and his entourages stormed the Kwara state Stadium on Sunday, November 24, to support Kwara United in their first game of the season in the National League.

His excellency was even on ground before the start of the encounter where he had handshakes and pictures with the players and management.

The Deputy Governor reminded the players the importance of getting promotion ticket back to the topflight, and his words of encouragement spurred Kwara United to victory.

Dede Monghara 71st minute superb free kick gave Kwara United the maximum three points against visiting Gombe United.

Chairman of the club Kumbi Titiloye who sat beside the Deputy Governor throughout the period of the encounter has now thanked him for his support.

”I want to sincerely appreciate the Deputy Governor and his entourages for coming to watch the match against Gombe United.

“It shows that Government is in total support for the development of the game in Kwara state,” the experienced football administrator explained.

The former boss of Kwara Football Academy also made it clear that Kwara United players will improve by scoring more goals in their subsequent games.

Meanwhile, Kwara United will be traveling to Katsina Ala for their next National League game against FC Taraba.
