Kowope FC took the lead through Saheed Fowotade, who capitalised on a long-range effort from Sowunmi Segun Yusuf. Sowunmi’s strike from outside the box was slightly redirected by Fowotade, giving the goalkeeper no chance and putting Kowope ahead.

Harkila FC responded positively and were rewarded with an equaliser as Babatunde Rasak slammed home a well-taken finish to restore parity and swing momentum back in their favour.

However, Kowope FC showed resilience and composure to reclaim the lead. A precise long-range pass from Ridwan Jimoh found Sowunmi Segun Yusuf, who displayed great awareness and technique to lob the goalkeeper, sealing the win and confirming Kowope’s progression to the last four.

At the end of the match, Kowope FC Chairman, OlaShehu, expressed his appreciation for the quality of officiating and praised the fighting spirit of both teams, particularly his players’ determination to see out a difficult game.
