One of the defining moments came after the match, when Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed, Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, addressed the KIRAA players.
His visit wasn’t just a courtesy—it was a moment of mentorship.
He encouraged the boys, saying, “Greatness isn’t built on victories alone. It’s how you respond to setbacks, how you train, how you carry yourself, and how you bounce back. Keep working—your time will come.”
The KIRAA boys, led by founder and CEO Franklin Oluwasegun Currie (KIRAA), held their own against one of Nigeria’s respected football academies.
The match tested their discipline, fitness, and tactical awareness—offering a clear picture of areas to improve as the academy continues to shape future stars.
“We knew it would be a tough one, and it was. But that’s what we want—real tests, real learning.
We are proud of our boys, and we thank Chairman Gafar for showing belief in our journey,” Currie said after the game.
Despite the loss, the energy, exposure, and leadership on display signal a bright future for the KIRAA team.
With more training and competitive matches lined up, this is just one chapter in a long and promising journey.
