Sports247 gathered that the 21-year-old ebullient lass, who last played for USC Trojans in the United States’ Collegiate League, will now don the colours of Washington Mystics in the WNBA’s professional ranks, for which she admitted she is very proud to have achieved at this point of her career.

Kiki, who also previously played for Stanford Cardinal in the Collegiate League, went on to reel out words of gratitude to God for making her dream come true, after which she also acknowledged the roles played by her family and well-wishers in helping her personal efforts work out well for her.

“I’ve just been resilient. There’s been a lot in my last season, and I just trusted the process. I’m a woman of faith. So, I just trust in God. I’ve been faithful, so I’m now getting a little lift. I’m just proud to be here, and I give all the glory to God.

“My parents also sacrificed so much for me. So did my village, my coaches and everybody in my circle. So, I’m just super-grateful, and this is truly for all of them,” said Iriafen, who has won a couple of best player awards and was in the Big 10 Conference last season in the Collegiate League.
