KG Sports Ends Tour In Big Win

KG Sports Agbor on Wednesday ended its Delta State Playing Tour in style after posting a sterling 4-1 Victory over Flying Rangers of Ekrdejebor from Ughelli North.

The Pride of Agbor who took part in the round of 32 in the Niger Delta Coaches Championship and lost 3-0 to Lisbon FC on 1st August Returned to Ughelli to face off with Goshen FC of Bayelsa and fell 2-1 despite taking a 1-0 Half Time Lead.

The Final Game of the Playing Tour against Flying Rangers was a rescheduled match after the first game was caught Short due to heavy downpour.

KG Sports Took the game to their opponents from the blast of the whistle as the striking duo of Big Do and Destiny Isioma ran Rings in front of the Flying Rangers Defence.

The first chance of the match fell to Peter Azuanuka after a loft give and go pass from Big Do but the winger Strike did little to hurt the Rangers Goalkeeper.

Roving Midfielder Wisdom Rogers held sway in the middle of the pack and midway into the first half he set up Destiny who raced past the defender before placing the ball in the bottom corner for the curtain raiser.

KG took the 1-0 Lead into the break and Flying Rangers returned with a wholesome change to their starting line up. Before KG Sports could settle RANGERS Leveled the scores to 1-1.

From that point KG Sports stepped up their game as substitute Earnest Okonkwo Combined well with Destiny Isioma to unsettle the Rangers Defense.

Wisdom Rogers put the Pride of Agbor in front before a brace from Ernest Okonkwo sealed it up for the KG Boys.

“We showed character today’s l am impressed the boys are improving with every game and this indicates they are learning which is the purpose of the Playing tour” Director of KG Sports Academy Dr Ken Gadaffi stated after the match.

“We will return to Agbor with our heads high and take the lessons to the upcoming Ika Grassroots League” he added.

KG Sports Academy will be taking part on the Ika Grassroots Football League due to start later this month.
