KG Foundation All Stars Beat Idunmu Ogalla All Stars 2-0 And Forced To A 1-1 Draw By Big Daddy FC In Double Header

KG Sports Foundation All-stars maintained an unbeaten run in their inaugural outings after defeating Idunmu Ogalla All Stars 2-0 on Saturday at the Gbenoba Grammar School field before traveling 5km South to face Big Daddy FC and were forced to a 1-1 Draw.

The KG Foundation All-Stars was formed following the conclusion of the second Edition of the KG Sports Foundation Cup and a 26 man Squad was selected to play the doubleheader.

On Saturday, A brace from Rainbow FC Forward, Meshack Lorenzo in the second half gave the Foundation All-Stars boys the comfortable victory and on Sunday Ekuku Agbor Striker Fortune Okafor opened scores in the 11th minute after winning the ball from the left flank, beat his marker and fired a sizzler past Goalkeeper Michael in Goal for Big Daddy FC.

KG Sports Foundation took the lead into the break and dominated the second half missing several glaring chances to Extend the lead.

Striker Meshack Lorenzo Saw his shot parried off by Substitute Goalkeeper Idowu before his rebound was cleared off the line by Defender Simon in the 73rd minute. Seyi’s Frederick was Acrobatically saved by Goalkeeper Idowu and twice in Quick succession Substitute, Ernest Okonkwo Shot wide from close range.

KG Foundation missed chances came back to haunt them when Obinna Scored the leveler in the 83rd minute from an offside position but the assistant referee failed to raise the flag and with the center referee not having the opportunity to review from VAR the goal stood and Big Daddy made it 1-1.

“It was a good outing, l am happy with the boys especially their attitude, we are in the process of developing a formidable team to represent Agbor and Ika in football and we hope the KG Foundation All-Stars will stay together to grow” CEO KG Sports Foundation Dr. Ken Gadaffi stated after the match.

“We will allow the boys to return to their respective clubs and Academies to prepare for the upcoming Ika Grassroots Football League and will invite them to play in the near future” the Erudite Sports Administrator Concluded.
