Former Manchester City, Leicester City and Middlesbrough of England striker, Kelechi Iheanacho has surprisingly opted for a deal with Turkish second division new comers, Bursaspor, instead of taking up a fresh offer extended to him by Celtic of Scotland, Sports247 reports.
Although the out-of-favour Super Eagles’ attacker had a successful run with Celtic last season, helping them to the Scottish League and Cup double, with a haul of goals added to his name along the way, he has decided not to stay put at Parkhead for another camapaign.

The 29-year-old product of Taye Football Academy of Owerri hit nine goals last season for Celtic, which he joined as a free agent, following his cancelled contract at Sevilla of Spain, which allowed him make a move after the summer transfer window had already closed.
However, a horde of injuries meant ‘Senior Man Kelz’ missed several matches at the start of the season and he only started two games after October, which might have occasioned his decision to turn down a new contract with Celtic and join Bursaspor, who have just been promoted to Turkey’s second tier.
Playing in the Turkish lower division will definitely be less demanding – though also far from the spotlight – for Iheanacho, who scored six goals coming off the bench as Celtic won their final nine games of the season to clinch a Scottish League and Cup double.
