Kelechi Iheanacho Joins Super Eagles Camp Ahead Of AFCON Opener

Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho has landed in the Super Eagles camp in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The news was confirmed by head coach Jose Peseiro, who stated that Iheanacho arrived from the United Kingdom at approximately 4 am local time on Saturday.

Peseiro, providing an update on Iheanacho’s condition, mentioned that he had a conversation with the medical team, and they assured him that the player had fully recovered from the injury.

The Leicester City forward is expected to participate in the Super Eagles’ final training session today, gearing up for their opening match against Equatorial Guinea.
