Sports247 reports that the 18-year-old attacker, whose father, Furo Iyenemi, played for Nigeria at the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations in Lagos, arrives at Brentford on a fee of £8.7m in a five-and-a-half-year deal.

The youngster, who has scored a goal in eight games for Brugge this season, after his senior debut in August, is expected to go straight into Keith Andrews’ squad at Brentford, where his deal should run until 2031.

Andrews disclosed: “Kaye is someone we have tracked for a while, who we are really excited about bringing to the club.

“His attributes are ones that I like and feel we can develop within the environment we have created. I have no doubt he will be a big player for us.”

On his part, the 6ft 3in centre-forward, who will play alongside Super Eagles’ battling midfielder, Frank Onyeka in The Bees’ main squad, has set his eyes on achieving great things with the club.

Furo added: “It’s very exciting to be here and I just feel very grateful. It’s a dream come true for me to come to a club like Brentford.

“Brentford is the right club because of the energy from the moment I came here and the moment I saw everybody for the first time.

“The moment I came here, I saw this was a family club and the energy is real, it’s not being faked or played.

“I really felt this is the right club for me to develop as a striker, and to become one of the best strikers one day. For me, that’s my main focus.”
