The former MFM FC midfielder, Elijah Akanni, bid farewell to Enyimba FC fans ahead of the 2025/2026 season. In his words;

From several sources, he is set to be unveiled by Kastina United in coming days as the new season 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League match opener for the “Changi Boys” will be against newly promoted Warri Wolves in August 22nd, 2025 and will face his former side Enyimba in November 23rd, 2025
Kastina United is yet to make an official statement on the details of his contract.
