Before now, most transfer talk swirling round the feather-haired Germany international had been about a likely move to Old Trafford, but Inter Milan have now reportedly joined the race.
However, while The Nerazzuri step up their interest in the 23-year-old mulatto, who hopes to leave Dortmund at the start of 2026, his next port of call is still shrouded in mystery.
His agents, though, are reportedly keying into the fact that his current contract will expire in the summer of 2027, hence their decision to start sounding out potential deals for him.
United initially appeared to be ahead in the race for him when they made contact with his representative and world-renowned agent, Jorge Mendes, but Inter are now apparently keen on swooping a deal from The Red Devils’ grip.
A report by leading German newspaper, Bild noted that United will not have a free surge for the forward’s signature, with the Milan-based Serie A side now in the race for Adeyemi, who has fallen down Nico Kovac’s pecking order at Dortmund.
His suitors will, however, have to consider his current low spirits and temperament, which escalted during Dortmund’s recent win over FC Cologne, as he threw a bottle toward the bench after being substituted.
