Speaking ahead of the global event, Hajiya Zainab said the team had prepared diligently and possess the quality to excel in Cairo.

“The athletes have trained really hard in preparation for this global showcase. The nation is confident that they will demonstrate outstanding performance at the World Championship,” she stated.

The contingent is led by Coach Efezino Akpotu, while Olusegun Abode serves as the leader of delegation.

Four of the female athletes—Ngozi, Godfirst, Constance and Ujunwa—are notable standouts who have consistently shone at the Zainab Saleh International Female Open Karate Championship, an event founded by Hajiya Zainab Saleh to promote and empower female karatekas across Nigeria.
